I have somehow always found my way into the middle of a circle of students. A leader in a youth group. In the middle of a summer camp dance battle. Gen Z people are MY people. I am also 31 looking 12, so I just blend in reeeeally well.
I started SLC to honor the diversity in all of us. I am passionate about creating a photoshoot experience that feels like home, like fun and like YOU.
In addition to photography, I have an extensive background in Public Relations and communications. This has helped me become an expert in creating connection and unforgettable storytelling in my work.
I feel so blessed to do this.

WHY I Started SLC

My idea for South Lume started after an unforgettable mission trip to South Africa. While there, I learned to truly live out the verse "let your light shine before men" (Matthew 5:16) through photography as I captured the camp and ministries. Now, I try to make that my every day mission by taking photos that illuminate the best part of who we are.
Hence, the South (ode to Africa) and Lume (short for illuminate).

I grew up right on the border of Arlington and Grand Prairie, but have always claimed Arlington because it sounded cooler than Grand Prairie.
I spent my teen days pleading to go to the Skatium on Sundays, developing my camera film. or trying not to pass out from working at Six Flags in the Texas summer (I know you can relate).
I love all things about DFW and it's made me who I am today. It's why I choose people and projects right in the city. This is home.

Outside of photography, I spend most of my time binging dad shows like The Blacklist and learning Tiktok dances. I love trying new restaurants in town or ordering a cookies and cream milkshake at Chick-Fil-A. I also love traveling and can tell you all about the time I ziplined in Mexico or cried in a beautiful park in London.
Most importantly, I love creating beautiful memories with the ones closest to me and cherish those moments every day.
